An LPC-Associate is a counselor who is still required by law to have supervision with an established License Professional Counselor- Supervisor for an additional 3000 hours post graduation. Think of it like a Doctor in residency until they are fully able to practice independently.

SFBT is exactly how it sounds. This is a brief therapy intervention that lasts on average 5-8 session (client dependent). We will focus on how your internal strengths have gotten you this far and how we can leverage them to face the problems you’re struggling with currently. It’s an intervention that focuses on strengths more than the problem.

Narrative Therapy separates you from the problem. It is a strengths-based approach, similar to Solution Focused Therapy. We will look at the stories that make up our identity from an objective point of view to see how they might be harming or helping us. Together, we will co-author new stories to provide a different perspective on our identified issue.
